BSc. Neuroscience, UBC Medical Doctoral Candidate
Katherine grew up running, hiking, and enjoying all that BC has to offer. Katherine graduated high school in Vancouver and studied neuroscience at UBC on a Track and Field Scholarship. She jumped at every opportunity UBC had to offer, everything from working in student residence, to competing in Alabama, to measuring water samples with a research team in Antarctica. Katherine enjoys working in education as well and has taught in a Brain Injury outreach program for elementary students and taught neuroscience to all ages from preschool to Grade 12. Currently a medical student at UBC, Katherine has brought her passion for education with her and is currently conducting research projects in patient medical education and neurosurgery. She believes in “exercise is medicine” and even with a busy class schedule still enjoys running, playing piano with the Med Choir, and helping other students discover a passion for science!
